Happy Holidays from Victoria, BC! We want to wish you joy and warmth throughout the whole holiday season whether you are spending it with family and friends gathered at home or off on an adventure. This year we’re doing a little of both!

In November, our CLN Team attended Canadian NGO Another Brick in Nepal’s Annual Fundraiser along with Nepal Executive Director Parshu Dahal. It was fantastic to have the whole team together as we move forward towards construction of our permanent Women’s Safe House, and it was a beautiful event with a live auction, a panel discussion, a shop full of Nepalese handicrafts, and more!

The CLN and ABIN leadership teams together at the Victoria fundraiser along with along with CLN longtime donors and supporters who joined us!

In case you missed our announcement, ABIN is our newest partner our Safe House project and is the primary funder for construction. They have experience building 4 schools in the same district in Nepal where CLN works, and we are thrilled to have their support for the Safe House building. Construction in the remote mountains is an expensive proposition, and the steep grade of the land also poses unique challenges for building design and placement. ABIN brings both extensive expertise and extensive funding – we couldn’t do it without them! CLN will continue to fund and oversee ongoing operations of the safe house and also provide additional funds for construction, furnishings, and other necessary items as needed.

Nepal Executive Director Parshu Dahal speaks at the fundraiser and is enjoying his first visit to Canada.

Changing Lives Nepal continues to make a real difference in people’s lives, both in Nepal and here at home. For more than 15 years, this work has brought meaning and purpose to our lives–and hopefully to yours also. Your generosity and support makes it all possible. Please join us for another year…
